Zoltan Laszlo suffered his first death in 1658, whenr his wife stabbed him after he learned of her affair with the local butcher. The first thing he did after he revived as an Immortal, was kill his wife and her lover.

In 1854, he was living a dockworker in San Francisco. When he heard that the famous Immortal, Brian Cullen, was in town, Laszlo sought him, and found him with Duncan MacLeod at the docks. Laszlo challenged Cullen, who refused. Duncan wanted to fight in Cullen's place but Laszlo refused because he was only interested in the best. Laszlo never realized that he was on the brink of death.

In 1943, Laszlo was working as a longshoreman. One evening, he met the pretty Immortal, Alicia Mackenzie at a bar. Laszlo was too stupid to realize that she was not interested in him, but in his head. He followed her out a few minutes later. Behind the bar, they had a brief fight, and she took his head and quickening.
