Obelix of Gaul was a Celtic Immortal from the region of Gaul, comprising modern-day France, parts of Belgium, western Germany, and northern Italy. At some point in his life he was sold into slavery by the Romans, he was then purchased and trained as a gladiator. Around the year 73 BC, after another gladiator, Karros, died fighting in one of the gladiatorial games and became Immortal as well, Obelix mentored him on what it meant to be Immortal.
