Tanovsky was a serial killer, but his career was that of a copycat, copying the murders of blonde women committed 67 years previously by another madman, the Immortal, Marcus Korolus. Matching them, at least in some way, to each of the previous murders.
He was lured into a trap by MacLeod, and exposed by Tessa after she ran him down when he was attempting to stab Richie to death.
He was filmed hurt and floundering in a puddle by Randi McFarland prior to his arrest and incarceration.
