Biography[]

Roszca had become addicted to heroin after dropping out of high school and it only got worse as time went on as he started to not remember what he did in life.

Roszca mugging Richie and Tessa at gunpoint

Roszca mugging Richie and Tessa at gunpoint

On October 23rd, 1993, Roszca's drug addiction led to him mugging two people at gunpoint for extra drug money: Tessa Noël and Richie Ryan. Roszca was so high and uncooperative, that when Tessa and Richie gave him everything they had, Roszca thought they were holding out because Tessa had no purse, and he shot them both, killing them and triggering Richie's Immortality.

Duncan MacLeod found his friends dead, but Roszca was never apprehended by the police and got away with his crime.

Clean Slate[]

Some time later in 1994, Roszca started to go clean and met Alicia Gibson, whose love also encouraged him to get clean and stay straight.

He even managed to get work as a restaurant employee, despite the two living in a rundown apartment building.

Past Returns[]

In 1995, Roszca was about to become a father and proposed to Alicia. He also made enough money to move out of the rundown apartment.

However, the past came back to haunt him on September 3rd. While Roszca was on his way home, he was spotted on the street by his old victim, Richie, who remembered his and Tessa's murder as if it was the day before.

Richie chased Roszca all the way to his apartment, but the other had no memory of having killed someone. They were both taken in by the police, but Detective Alan Sheridan said the report on Tessa's death stated there were no witnesses. The police discounted Richie's story largely because Roszca had no priors, and Richie's juvenile record was fairly substantial. No charges against either man were filed, and while the police encouraged Roszca to file against Richie, he chose not to.

Remembering[]

At the same time, Richie caught up to Roszca where he worked, when he was taking some garbage out to a dumpster. In the alley, Richie once again confronted Roszca, who climbed the fire escape to get away, insisting he never killed anyone.

As Richie pursued and caught Roszca at the third floor of a fire escape and tried to force him to admit his crime, Roszca admitted he was so high back then that he did not remember half of what he had done. But when Richie described in detail how he had looked the night Tessa died, Roszca froze, recognizing the description of a jacket he had lost a year previously.

It was there that he realized Richie was right, he had killed Tessa. He started apologizing, but Richie threw him over the third floor of the fire escape. Roszca pleaded, saying he was about to be married, to which Richie responded that Tessa was as well.

In the end, Richie could not bring himself to drop Roszca and hauled him back up to safety. While Richie would continue to hate Roszca, he did not want to make a widow himself. He asked Duncan where the justice was in all of it, who told him there was no justice, just mercy.

Aftermath[]

According to the Watchers, Roszca and his wife, Alicia, moved to Seattle and had a daughter they named Rayne, but Roszca now knew he was, in fact, a murderer and had to live with it for the rest of his life. The knowledge was a form of justice.
