Synopsis
When Nick and Myers thwart a kidnapper's attempt to kill his victim despite being paid the ransom, they discover an old photo in the safe which suggests their foe knows a certain female acquaintance of theirs. In flashback to 1867 Manchester, England, Amanda and Derrick Markham hold the son of a wealthy businessman for ransom. After the ransom is paid, Markham murders the hostage without his partner's knowledge and then forces Amanda to marry him so she cannot be compelled to testify against him. He forgot that she could chose to testify. In present day, angry that he wasn't able to collect his ransom, Markham wants Myers dead.
