Harry Hogan was an Immortal, born in 1778 in Boston, Massachusetts, then adopted by an Irish family. Violent in nature, Harry fought often and ended with his first death in 1816 in a boxing match that went awry. His first teacher was Tommy Sullivan, his manager.

Harry subsequently turned to banditry and led a gang on the streets of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. In 1855, he witnessed the first death of Anthony Gallen in a fight between two rival gangs and became his teacher.

During the Civil War he fought in the Union Army and often stole corpses after fighting. After the conflict ended, he was involved in several criminal enterprises until the police failed to put him in jail. He fled to Canada and lived as a trapper until the turn of the 20th century before returning to the United States. He then became a wrestler using various pseudonyms.

An occasional headhunter, Harry will have had the quickenings of several immortals including Liam Boorman in 1912 and Analise Thibadeau in 1969. In 1998, however, he committed the confrontation too close to Sacramento by provoking the young Immortal, Michelle Webster, who had returned from Europe. Managing to resist, she caused surprise by taking Harry's head.
