A wildcard from childhood, (no one got away with calling him "Grover") he had a knack for chaos. He immigrated at a young age from Devonshire to Salem, Massachusetts, where he was taken on as a blacksmith's apprentice.

Unfortunately, his natural hostility toward authority led to his ousting from the profession, leading him to a life of petty crime. Crispin's tendencies toward emotional outbursts and rash action were dangerously accentuated by a twisted and perverse sense of humor.

His first teacher, Matthew McCormick, tried to temper these characteristics, but to no avail. They fell out, and though the noble-minded McCormick wouldn't kill him, he forced Crispin to leave Massachusetts.

Crispin then traveled to Europe, but never overcame his inclination toward petty theft and crime. In the early 1940's, he set his sights higher, training with safe crackers and jewel thieves.

Today, he tends to work with inexperienced accomplices he can manipulate so easily, occasionally choosing new Immortals as his partners.

Weapon[]

Irish bastard sword.
