Biography[]

Korland first died in 1871 in an ice fishing accident, triggering his Immortality. He was taught the ways of the Immortals by Patrick Lynch. Korland was a cold blooded killer who had a penchant for fire. He affected being a Beatnik poet and loved to play the saxophone.

However, he seemed to imply that all of his poetry was inspired by the crimes he committed.

In 1958, Korland was in Greenwich Village, New York, performing on stage in a Beatnik bar, playing the saxophone and reciting his poetry. Korland was doing a poem on "Death", and the audience was appreciative. Watcher Renée Ginsburg was also in attendance.

Korland then sensed the presence of another Immortal, Duncan MacLeod, who was there to challenge him. Duncan stated his grudge against Korland was personal, strongly implying someone he cared about died at Korland's hands.

Upon being sure MacLeod was there to kill him if possible, Korland fled or perhaps just went outside to fight him. When Korland left through the back door, Duncan followed, but as he was leaving he saw a Quickening. When he went outside he saw Korland's body and another Immortal next to him. Duncan's friend, Coltec, who had fought and beheaded Korland.

According to Coltec, who was a "Hayoka" (one who absorbed the evil into himself), a man could not take too many monsters like Korland inside him. Coltec recommended that Duncan trust him, because he killed evil Immortals "for a living."

Legacy[]

Coltec would then retire himself from The Game, until 1996, when he beheaded Horvan Kant and became the victim of a Dark Quickening.

Weapon[]

His weapon of choice was an El Cid Tizona Sword.
