Adopted by the boyars of Romania, Basarab was raised and an aristocrat with a penchant for nicer things. He held Prince Vlad Dracula III as his role model in adolescence, earning the nickname "Little Impaler", though it would make his sternest effort to earn it as he secured not one, but two reigns as Prince of Walachia. He would fall in battle in 1502, raised up from his First Death by the very Immortal (though unknowingly he was such at the time) he idolized, Vlad Dracula III/Adruc Keradoc.
While never officially joining Keradoc's then-already formed Armas, he would more than gladly be on the beck and call of him, later joining him in his business ventures... generally in avenues that would grant Keradoc plausible deniability. He was always courted Keradoc's favor and blessing and his biggest wish to one day shed the title of "Little Impaler" and become a modern day equivalent of the man he idolizes.
In the present, Barasab continues his business arrangement with Keradoc, fancying himself to be the heir of the "empire", if there could be such a thing. It seems this is in fallacy, but he continues the illusion.
