Atla was an Immortal from the Roman province of Rhaetia, an area which today is part of central Switzerland, southern Germany, part of Tyrol in Austria, and part of northern Lombardy in Italy. He discovered the new Immortal, Timothy of Gilliam, after his first death and became his teacher, he showed Timothy what he was, and how to survive in the Game.
