Amergan was a former Druid who as a spirit acted as a teacher to Colin MacLeod. As a spirit he met Colin MacLeod when he had just revived from his first death. Amergan knew quite a bit about Immortals, and told Colin about his Immortality and The Game. Colin didn't care, only wanting revenge on Marcus Octavius for killing his wife. Amergan followed Colin, and continually attempted to make him stop and think rather than continue on a path of mindless vengeance.
Amergan can possess small animals and insects, but is usually trying to talk to Colin, who usually refuses to listen to him.
