Alexandra Vandernoot
Alexandra Vandernoot is an actress born on September 19, 1963 in Uccle, Belgium, the daughter of André Vandernoot a conductor for the Belgian National Orchestra, the Orchestra of the Royal Flemish Opera, and the Antwerp Philharmonic, and the Serbian-born ballerina and choreographer Dušanka Sifnios.
She attended the Brussels Conservatory and made her debut the year she graduated, 1985, in the film Babel Opera. In 1992, she appeared in Strangers, a film by American director Joan Tewkesbury, and starred in Le Souper in 1992, and Le Jaguar in 1996. She achieved international fame for the television role of Tessa Noël, the French sculptor and antiques dealer who was the love of Highlander, Duncan MacLeod's life. She appeared in two seasons of the Highlander: The Series, and then at her request, her character was killed off so that she could return to Europe.
Back in France, she starred in such features and series as Tramontane, Le bleu de l'océan, La battante and Le prix de l'honneur on television, Camping Paradis, Section de recherches, and Profilage.
