Ailell of Kells was an immortal born in Kells, Ireland in AD 535. He suffered his first death in AD 570 during a hunt. His first teacher was Ceirdwyn. A man of great faith, Ailell eventually became a monk and lived in a monastery in Iona, Scotland, from the 8th century
In AD 805 the monastery was attacked by the Vikings and Aillel witnessed the first death of Sean Burns, who later became his pupil. Thereafter, Ailell left the monastery and traveled, learning philosophy, but never lost his deep faith in Christianity.
In AD 1582, Ailell stopped at the Saint Christopher Monastery. There he met the immortals Paul and Antonius Kalas and spent several months in their company, before leaving. He was ambushed by Kalas and lost his head.
