Résumé rapide[]
Lorsque Nick fait échouer une tentative de meurtre en abattant le meurtrier, Denise Grady pense que la "malédiction familiale" qui a détruit les plus brillants membres de sa famille est enfin levée. Mais le corps du tueur disparaît et Nick soupçonne que l'agresseur était en fait un Immortel qui a soif de vengeance...
